Assessment

Each assessment is individualised and detailed. We gather information from yourself, teachers and other professionals to obtain a clear understanding of your child’s needs. We use a range of assessment tools suitable for your child’s age.

Intervention

We work together with you to devise a therapy plan with goals and strategies to best support your child. We empower you to also continue the strategies on a daily basis.

Areas of intervention

Speech and Language Therapy includes a range of communication areas in which we provide support. Intervention can be short term consultations to online sessions.

Speech Therapy for Schools

The Speech Language Centre works jointly with schools in delivering a high quality service. Please contact us in working together to improve outcomes for children in your educational setting.

We offer assessment and whole class screening. We offer early intervention, training packages for staff and we assist in helping create a communication friendly environment. We offer group intervention for yoga and mindfulness.

Speech Therapy for Daycares

We offer training packages (it can be delivered online) to support early identification of communication disorders. Please contact us for more information on our Hanen packages, for educators and how to promote language development in children including advice on multlingualism.

Consultations

 

Consult a Speech Therapist to know if your child’s speech and language is developing accordingly for their age or get advice on the strategies to use to support multilingualism, play, language and literacy. Early intervention does not only involve treatment for your child but provides education, guidance and support for parents. No age is ‘too early’.
